Mornings

One of the main reasons I love summer. Mornings.  Beautiful light, dew, the misty fog in the distance.  With the kids back in school I get to spend a little extra time on the front porch and it is wonderful. 

Here's to summer!

Here's to long nights, warm breezes, sparklers, iced tea, watermelon, tan lines, playing in the water, vacation, bonfires, lawn chairs, camping, fireworks and so much more.

Weekend Rewind

Over the weekend we had a few nice days, which means above 40 degrees so we had asparagus to remind us of whats to come from the garden (what, you don't take pictures of asparagus?).

I purchased and painted a new stool so the kids can continue to get toothpaste all over the sink.

Noel turned 9 months old and tried to escape from the bucket a million times.  I should have posted the outtakes, it would have been far more entertaining.

And we had the most beautiful sunsets when the time changed and kicked everybody's butt on Monday morning. 

Spring Forward

It's March, and that means we are one step closer to Spring.. which is close to Summer! So here are some things I look forward to in the warmer weather..

-daffodils peaking through the ground

-getting the outdoor furniture out and enjoying the sun

-planting the garden

-adding on to the rock wall

-grilling (and not freezing while doing it)

-the kids outside

-blankets in the grass

-ranger rides

-park visits

and so much more.. Come on Spring!
